In a healthy person Omega 6 is converted to GLA, a benficial fatty acid also found in Evening Primrose and Blackcurrant seed oils. From GLA the body's enzymes produce the prostglandins PG1 and PG2. Prostanglandins are hormone compounds that regulate many bodily functions.
