Indications Cold and Flu Strike can be used on a short term basis to maintain a healthy immune system.It provides relief of:·Symptoms of colds by reducing the severity and duration of symptoms·Mucous congestion·Symptoms of mild upper respiratory tract infections·Symptoms of influenza by reducing theseverity and duration of symptoms, including pain and feverCold and Flu Strike contains Andrographis, which may assist in alleviating the symptoms of the common cold and sore throats. Olive leaf has been included for its traditional role in helping to relieve fevers and for its use as an antimicrobial agent and mild astringent. Olive leaf may assist in the relief of cold and flu symptoms and contains components that are potent antioxidants and free radical scavengers. Free radicals are highly reactive substances which may occur in the body and can be generated by lifestyle factors, such as excess dietary fats, cigarette smoke, alcohol consumption, pollutants and stress. Zinc is also included; at a dose of 10mg. Zinc is essential in maintaining the integrity of the immune system and is beneficial in wound healing. Zinc helps to regulate muscle response and nervous system transmissions, whilst strengthening connective tissue.Vitamin C is also included in Cold and Flu Strike for its role in aiding the immune system. Vitamin C may be easily depleted by cigarette smoking and poor dietary choices, but is vital in the many biochemical reactions of the body, including the regulation of metabolism and conversion of foods to energy. Vitamin C also assists in collagen formation.
