Rhubarb is also a digestive tonic and indicated where there is abdominal discomfort.                                 Licorice has been used traditionally as both as a demulcent and an anti-inflammatory. Licorice soothes the mucosal surfaces of the digestive system relieving pain and irritation. Licorice has also been used traditionally for the relief of digestive symptoms such as bloating, indigestion and flatulence. Dill has been traditionally used as a carminative for the relief of colic and flatulence.
