What does it do?
Comfrey has been used for hundreds of years for the topical relief of bruises, sprains and fractures, which is the origin of one of its’ common names, Knitbone.
Comfrey contains allantoin and mucilage, the former being the main active constituent responsible for stimulating tissue repair (PDR for Herbal Medicines 2000:213).
Each 1g contains:
Symphytum officinale extract equiv. to 100mg dry leaf
Dose
Apply freely to affected parts. Patch test a small area of skin for any allergic activity.
