Making a Booking

How do I book an online video consultation with a Psychologist or other Allied Health professional?

Source Health has designed a booking process that is super easy, whilst still ensuring you get to see the professional who is the very best fit to help you with your concerns. This does mean of course that we will need to ask you a couple of questions in order to get this done.

You can connect with us in one of two ways. One, reach out to us any time of day and night online via our ‘Contact Us’ form. Alternatively, you can just give us a ring (during normal business hours) on 1300 182 117 and speak to one of our friendly Source Health team members about our service and or booking an appointment.

Can I choose my Psychologist or can you select a Psychologist for me?

Based on the questions you answer during the booking process, we will find a professional that matches your needs. Once you have been recommended a professional, you will still have the option to choose someone else.  Once you are happy with your assigned professional, you will book a day and time convenient to yourself.

Fees, Payments, and Cancellations

How much does it cost to use Source Health?

Each of our professionals set their own rates and as such the fees for each one will vary. Once you have been matched with the professional best suited to help you, we will advise the fees charged by them.

We believe that when it comes to mental health, the most important factor is ensuring you see the best person to help you and hence we assign professionals not based on how much they charge, but based on how well they are suited to support you with your specific and individual concerns. Matching you with the best professional usually means that you get better sooner, requiring less sessions, which ultimately saves you money.

What payments do you accept?

We accept all major Credit Cards, such as VISA & Mastercard. Cash payments and bank transfers are not available via the Source Health platform.

Payment for your Initial Appointment is taken at the time of booking, with payments for Subsequent Appointments being charged on the day of attendance.

Note, you might be eligible to claim Medicare Rebates should you have a VALID Referral from your GP.

A VALID Referral includes the following:

  • patient’s name and surname
  • patient date of birth
  • patient address
  • diagnosis
  • request for services / treatment
  • referring GP’s Medicare Provider Number
  • referring GP’s signature
  • an indicating of the number of sessions (e.g. 6) that has been recommended by the referring GP.

In addition, Medicare will only issue your rebate once your GP has completed and submitted a Mental Health Care Plan into the Medicare System. This has to happen before your appointment date (can’t be back dated).

Alternatively, you can attend as a Private Client. Should you be a member of a Private Health Fund with Extras Cover you could submit your invoice to them for possible reimbursement.

We also accept self-managed NDIS participants. If this is you, you will be charged as a Private Client, following which you can submit your invoice for reimbursement to the NDIS.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

Whilst we understand that life can be unpredictable, cancellation at late notice means we are unable to offer this appointment to another client who may be on a cancellation or waiting list for an appointment.

AMOUNT OF NOTICE FEE THAT APPLIES
Cancellations made within 24 – 48 hours (notice period excludes weekends & public holidays) 50% of usual Session Fee applies
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice (notice period excludes weekends & public holidays) Full Session Fee applies
Missed Appointments

Full Session Fee applies

Remember, a late cancelled appointment is a loss to:

  • You, as your therapy progress is delayed;
  • The client who has been waiting to see the clinician, sometimes urgently and
  • The clinician who spent time preparing for your session.
